About The Living Stone Church
The Living Stone and a Chosen People
As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him— you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual temple to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For in Scripture it says:
“See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him
will never be put to shame.”
1 Peter 2:4,5
What We Believe
Our model is found in Acts 2:42
and Matthew 28:19, 20.
In John 21:17 Jesus told Peter:
"Feed my sheep."
The Living Stone Church exists to do just that and to be Jesus' ambassadors--imploring others to be reconciled to God through repenting of their sins and by placing their trust, reliance and dependence solely in Jesus and His righteousness received by faith as God's gift of love to us.
The Good News!
God has made a way for us, through Jesus, to experience the life and relationships with God and others we long for!
We can't reach the holy, perfect God "our way"- That is, by relying on our own "good works", "doing more" or being a "better" person.
Instead, we need to come to God "His way".
We do that by repenting of our sins and receiving as a gift- the perfect righteousness God requires. By transferring our faith (trust, reliance, dependence) in ourselves and our "goodness" to Jesus and his perfect righteousness received as God's gift of love, God promises He has forgiven and removed our sins, given us His Spirit and new and eternal life. 1 John 1:9, John 10:28, Romans 5:5
God made Jesus who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might have the righteousness of God.
2 Corinthians 5:21
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
1 John 4:10
...to all who received him, to those who trusted in him, he gave the right to become children of God—children born of God's Spirit.
John 1:11-13
